Did You Know...

...that according to the buy-side, investor relations can have as much as a 35% impact on a company’s valuation? In our most recent study of the buy-side, we uncovered that portfolio managers and buy-side analysts attribute a premium of 10% of a company’s valuation to good investor communications and a discount of 25% to bad investor communications.

Intelligence Council

For 20 years, Rivel Research Group has provided investor relations officers and other senior level executives with the unique ability to measure the attitudes and perceptions of their important investment community constituencies. During this time we have helped shape the tactics and strategies needed to most effectively communicate to these audiences. As a natural extension to these services and in response to the recent challenges of the market, Rivel is launching a new program that combines the experiences and knowledge of our client group with the depth of insights derived from our historical research databases.

The program offers a unique blend of investor relations best practices. The insight will be provided by the members of the Intelligence Council and supplemented with ongoing research among global buy-side and sell-side audiences. Given the unpredictable nature of today’s markets, it is crucial that executives have the ability to get their most pressing questions answered in a timely and coherent way. It’s equally important that these issues be framed against near term goals and tactics that feed longer term strategies. The Intelligence Council offers its members a platform from which their topical questions can be addressed within a secure and, if required, anonymous format while simultaneously providing guidance on critical longer term objectives.

The Value Proposition: Rivel’s Intelligence Council is the only program of its kind to offer peer insight combined with buy-side/sell-side analysis at an affordable price point.

Key elements of the Intelligence Council offering:

The Exchange:

  1. Ongoing IR Topics – Rivel will deliver 12 reports per year on these topics.
  2. Immediate Inquiry – Member driven questions hosted in an on-line forum where members can receive immediate feedback from peers (practitioners only).
  3. Meetings – Rivel will host two meetings per year (in major money centers) to supply a forum for senior IROs along with Rivel senior executives to discuss the key issues emanating from the research.
  4. Custom Perception Research – Rivel will conduct two (2) smaller, focused studies per year (10 questions among 10 respondents via telephone) after earnings calls to measure the effectiveness of the calls and message.
